yes, also people in Holland are reading this forum...............
My name is Alex Timmermans and i am addicted to wet plate photography for already a few years now.
One of the most beautifull analogue processes of all.
If you want to read some more about it, just visit my weblog
http://www.collodion-art.blogspot.com
At the moment i am using several LF camera's. from 4 x 5" up to 20 x 20". At for wet plate.
20 x20"donchev camera :

I have collected several brass lenses over the years, but i have a weakness for Hermagis.
This mainly because of the beautifull engravings
greetings from a small but beautifull country,
Alex

Hi Alex
good to see that you're now on here
yes I thought that you were one and the same who had bought the first 20x20" donchev camera
- NOTE for fellow forum members, this is very much a studio camera and not something to backpack with, lol

Alex
the Hermagis that you're holding at Bievres is something 'of a cannon' I'd say - what's the focal length and fstop please?
personally I opted to buy four smaller lenses that weekend, size isn't everything...............he said slightly enviously

Andrew,
To be honest, i haven't measured it yet.
They are making a new flange for it at the moment.
Hope to have it back next week
Focal lenght should be around 20".

Hmmm... anyone planning on visiting IBC this year? I had a stand with Victorian 3-d photography last year, by invitation of the organisers, but nothing this year.

Ooops... International Broadcasting Conference, at the RAI.
Mostly TV and Radio, but occasionally some proper cameras turn up. Still deciding whether I can afford it this year.
