Hi from North Wiltshire
Well I guess it's time to come out of the closet and introduce myself to the world, rather than keep lurking about the forum.
I've recently taken up LF photography, having only ever shot digital; the usual DSLR setup. I've still retained some of my digital gear but it is slowly finding its way onto ebay.
So, having no film experience it was a bit of a steep learning curve but I think I'm picking up the basics now. A lot of that learning has come from this site, so a big thanks to eveyone that contributes to the forum. Maybe one day I'll feel qualified to chip in now and again!
I use a Toyo 45AII with Nikkor W 150 f5.6, Fuji 250 f6.7 and Nikkor M 300 f9. As to film, purely colour and currently working my way through the different emulsions understanding their characteristics. Ultimately I expect to use both transparency and colour neg.
As to subject, for me it is the natural landscape, favouring the detail and intimate aspects rather than the big view. I'm sure that'll expand but for now it certainly seems to fit neatly in with LF.
I am based in North Wiltshire, but do like to travel about a bit for my photography ....... anyone else in that area?
I use flickr as the sounding board for my images, with those I like finding their way occasionally to my website (Much of the work on there is digital but my recent LF work is in the 'what's new' gallery).

Hi Joe,
Welcome to the forum although it feels as though you have been around for a while! Digital to LF is a pretty big step! Look forward to meeting up soon. Keep up with your great work in the woods - I've enjoyed your images immensely.
Cheers,
Jenny

Hi Joe,
You have some fantastic images on your site; I am in North Wilts too and I recognise the ones of the water park. Life has been rather hectic recently, but I intend to have a good day out in the local area soon (fingers crossed for some frost!). I will send you a PM nearer the time to see if your available to meet up.
Best regards,
Evan

Re: Hi from North Wiltshire
Thanks Evan, that would be great. I'll be out myself tomorrow morning in Savernake Forest, appreciate it's probably short notice but more than happy if you want to stop by. Otherwise, catch up some other time...banana_legs wrote:Hi Joe,

Hi Joe, I love your flickr stream, I think you have a great eye for a piccie so the transition to LF shouldnt be too hard. I am down South too so hopefully we can meet up sometime too.

Dave
