Just a quick hello.
I am new to LF having acquired a Horseman LE (?) monorail camera and selection of 'dubious glass' to put up front. As far as I can tell the shutters are ... shall we say 'vaque' at the slower end. So my starting point is to find out where to go to get them serviced.... or rather where to go in this forum to then ask the question. Since mentioning to neighbors an interest in LF - I have been handed an old mahogony field camera - in a poor state of repair, no lens / shutter and the bellows are well battered - but looks to be craftsman made and the dovetailed construction is a work of art as fine as any I have seen on a 19th C cabinet. I was also asked to sell a small collection - which included a MK 8 MPP and Rollieflex E3 ... after looking at each I felt my DSLR was a little 'basic' and found a pre - 'not so loved' - Horseman for my budget upon which to learn.
Time for a very steep learning curve.

Welcome aboard Mat, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't envious of your location. Look forward to seeing some of your work.

Thanks Paul, it is a very nice part of the UK - currently very wet, very windy and pretty cold - Ive been here for 12 years now in a little cottage on the fringes of the PDNP. You can see some of my images on a website I host - all taken on a Nikon DSLR - http://www.peakdistrictcreations.co.uk/ ... otography/. I hope to get a little more creative with the Horseman monorail - but first things first - I have to find a 90 mm lens and board then start playing.
