Hello!

Post by William Pearce » Mon Dec 24, 2012 1:31 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi!

My name is WIll i'm currently a student studying photography in surrey.

i started using 5x4 two years ago and certainly got bitten by the LF bug.

i began with a cambo SC and now own a toyo 45a with schneider 90mm (currently being repaired fingers crossed), 150mm and a rodenstock 240mm

i also have a 6x7 back and will be looking at 6x12 after christmas. I do mainly however shoot 5x4.

choice of film is Ektar but i do use pro160ns and adox 25 speed every now and then.

I won a place in the BBC "show me the monet" arts competition so i suppose that is my 15 minutes of fame!

you can see my stuff here http://www.williampearcephotography.com all of it is 5x4 except form the Philip Browne section.

look forward to speaking with you all!

William, Hi

I've also enjoyed (just) looking at your work.................not least the amount of images that you include for each section, which to me is spot on..........Adox film is no longer being produced (or not at present) - there should be an increased use of 'seen work' on here with roll film backs on a 4 x 5 (imo) - look forward to seeing some of these

regards

andrew

Thanks for all the feed back guys!

I'm sorry to hear about Adox! any recommendations for slow black and white?

Andrew - what do you mean by "seen work" and (imo) sorry I did try and work it out but I am struggling!

Hi Will, thanks

well, Silverprint state that Foma 100 has plenty of scope, down to 50 ISO:

"seen work" - I could have been clearer - there's a need imo to 'see more of other photographer's work' on this site
