Greetings from Holland!

Post by Mohamed Sherif » Wed Apr 17, 2013 6:02 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hello!

Thanks for accepting me in the site. I am originally Egyptian but has been living in Holland for almost 6 years now.
I am rather new to large format. Having spent like three years shooting medium format film, which I liked, I thought I try LF.
My wife thinks it is strange when most of people aspire to get the most up-to-date digital gear, I seem, to her, to go backwards in time. All the more when I got some strange old-looking accordion-like photography gear!
I have a new Tachihara 45BR and a used Horseman LE. For me photography is a hobby that I take quite seriously. I like black and white and also to develop myself. Have not tried to develop colour myself.

See you, Mohamed

Hi Mohamed,
It isn't unusual for wives to question the sanity of their husband.
It is common for people to question the sanity of anologue photographers.
The sanity of LF photographers is often challenged.
Ignore them, have the courage of your convictions and tell them, "The man is not for turning".
In Dutch!!!!
Still learning to see
