Hello from Newcastle

Post by cosorio » Fri Jun 13, 2014 9:30 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi All,

I am an enthusiastic Colombian photographer doing a PhD in business, and my passion is landscapes. If you have the chance to visit my Country you will see why I like this type of photography, with some of the most breath-taking places for landscape in the planet.

I am very new in the large format photography and in fact I am looking for a teacher/tutor/mentor who can teach me about it. I've been looking for workshops and 1-2-1 sessions but haven’t found yet. So, if you want to have an keen photographer as your disciple, just let me know. I’ll promise to make you proud in the future with my photos :)

Many thanks

Carlos Osorio

Hello Carlos

Like you I am relatively new to Large Format and also into Landscapes. You're in a lovely part of the UK!! Quite different from Colombia as well.

I'm too far from you and too new to offer much advice, but when I started out I took part in a one-day workshop with Tim Parkin and Dav Thomas. Their workshop website hasn't been updated for some time, but both are still active so worth dropping a line?

Also, Richard Childs is another large format photographer offering tuition:
