Hi to all on the Forum,

I have been struggling with an Arca Swiss monorail for a number of years mainly because I do landscape and it is not easy to carry. I have now bought a Wista DX III which is much more portable.

I am hoping to learn more about LF and be inspired by the images on here.

Regards

Bill

Welcome to the club Bill. I too have a Wista DX and enjoy the simplicity of it. Having said that, I'm still on a very steep learning curve, but shall persevere all the same.
Best wishes,
John

Thanks for the welcome.

I agree the learning curve is steep but will be worth the effort in the end I am sure

Paul - I have done the same so it must be part of the initiation into LF.

And even when you get near the top of the cliff there are still little pot holes to fall into every once in a while. I've been shooting LF for nearly 5 years now and only last week I fell in one!
I had just taken my best ever photo :-) and then removed the film holder from the camera before replacing the dark slide! Aaaaarrrgghhhhh!
Welcome to the forum. You'll definately enjoy the climb up that cliff.

Thanks Nigels.

Been there, done that, got the scars (mental anyway).

Never mind potholes what about landslips?
