Hi from Ugley

Hi Everyone,

Just posting here to introduce myself to you all.

My name is Susie, and I have been messing about with large format cameras for some time: I hate to admit it but I bought my first 5x4 Linhof nearly thirty years ago! At one time I collected old plate cameras and still have some that I use: in the loft there is even an 8x20 Korona panoramic.

I recently attended a Carl Radford weekend course learning how to make wet-plate ambrotypes and tintypes. Fantastic! I'm completely hooked, and didn't suffer too badly with the dreaded "Black Paws"!

Nice to meet you all,

Best wishes,

Susie

Welcome Susie and am green with envy that you've been on one of Carl's workshops

Hi Andrew,

Well I know one young man (Alex) who wants to use it for an 8x20 collodion tintype! Now that would be something!

Hi Susie,
Welcome to the forum. I was so busy engaging with your wet plate thread that I completely missed the fact that you were new here! With nearly 30 years LF experience, and with a collection like that, it sounds like your joining is well overdue :D All the best, John
