Re: Scanners info
I've been using a Microtek i900 since it first came on the market years back now. It has performed extremely well and this is my second Microtek product in 20 years of 35-120-4x5 transparency scanning. The latest version is the Microtek ArtixScan M1 Pro. One item I've always liked about the Microtek line is the glassless scanning tray or bay. This slide in tray comes with three different film sized holders; 35-120-4x5. If used properly most all of the late model flatbed film scanners do an extremely good job with scanning images. Good luck in your review process no matter what product line you might decide on......

Re: Scanners info
Hi Tom,
I use an Epson Perfection V700 and I'm very happy with it, though I have to admit I'm still learning how to use it properly. It's easy to use and comes with both Epson and SilverFast scanning softwares; I can't decide which of the two is best, but at the moment I prefer the Epson proprietary software.

Thank you Valerio, sounds promising, have read the Web review by 'pocket-lint' and it seems favourable too, both the Epaon 750 and 700. My hope is that when I have a decent Neg. I will want a good Print from it, also with Transparencies shall want to Scan them onto Disc as well as having Prints done. Am goiubg to wait a bit, and use the Lab to Scan in the meantime. Loads of helpful responses, thank you very much!

Re: Scanners info
Just for info : I am still using my old Epson 2450. I scan all my 4x5s at 2400dpi using Hamrick's Vuescan software. Works ok for 30" wide prints at 360dpi.
