An interesting show, this; some 8x10s and some Hassy medium format digital.

The date is the give-away; Burtynsky apparently moved to digital after the Shipbreaking series when he started taking pictures from helicopters (as you do).

From what he says in it, he only favours digital for when he's hanging out of a plane.
I've never tried to operate a view camera from a plane, so I'll let him off that one

yes indeed and the buiding has of course now been revamped and sensibly 'print sales' are on the same level as the book shop
