Sorry about that... the image didn't appear first time. Hopefully it might inspire one of you to take a look.

More of a possible than a probable, but I'd like to be there if I can manage timewise.

I may have to dust off the gear and drag myself along as I've still got some film left... :)

Let's hope the weather's good enough not to need the tearoom appreciation society :D

Hi Charles,

I hope to be able to come along - where will people be staying whilst up there?

Are most of you bringing 5x4 or larger?

Susie

Not sure where I'll be staying, but campsite or YHA will do me.
As for camera, I'll use 5x4 mostly but I'll bring 5x7 in case the mood takes me.

If a few of us fancy it, I am wondering whether we should try and visit somewhere as a group - somewhere where people are making things, mining, pencil-making or other, ie an active place rather than a disused one. Maybe the Honister slate mine? Would anyone be interested; does anyone have a better suggestion; does anyone have contacts?

Thanks,
Charles

We'll probably camp.

Hopefully I'll be shooting 12x15 plates, all being well.

Just a couple points of organisation:

(i) if you have not sent me your mobile phone numbers, could I have them so we can all coordinate? If you're not happy with your number being shared among the participants, then don't worry.

(ii) how many photography widows will there be? Mrs T is thinking of organising her own, far-more-interesting outing.

(iii) should we, can we book a table at the Dog & Gun? How many of us will be there on the Friday evening?

Thanks,
Charles

Hi Charles,

You may have my mobile number from before but let me know if you need it again.

I'm planning on being there for the Friday evening meal.

I notice that Light and Land are having their Lakes workshop on the 15-18th April so we may bump into a few of them if people are hanging around after the weekend. They're based at the Borrowdale Hotel on Derwentwater. Let's hope they don't get in the shot like Smethwick Camera Club did at Bambrough - good job the wind was in the 'wrong' direction... ;)

Hi Charles,

Collette and I are planning on being in Keswick for the Friday evening meal. Collette will also be packing her own camera so will be joining us LF'ers out and about :)

Cheers,

Glenn.
