Four Seasons

Post by Charles Twist » Thu Feb 01, 2007 8:37 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hello all,
The Four Seasons project is off the ground, thanks to a pic from Roger Davies. See http://www.lf-photo.org.uk/projects/project2007_2.htm
No project leaders have come forward, so I'll just put the pics up as I receive them and see if that takes us anywhere. In the meanwhile, you can use this thread for all matters relating to this project.

Yesterday we had, what in these parts and times is an absolute rareity, a dusting of snow. Fortunately I was able to get out and take some pictures, and found myself at a spot where I'd photographed last summer. As I exposed film I thought instantly of the four seasons project! Are we excluding images taken last year from the project?

Lots of snow forecast for tomorrow :D

Might be the opportunity to get that "winter" shot I've been planning.

I have to hope that it stays around until the weekend as I am separated from my gear by the Irish Sea. Although I hope it keeps clear enough to allow my flight to land and for my journey home 8)

Personally I would favour being allowed to have one pic from last year for the very reason you state. We all know of locations we have visited and which have given a good picture in the past. Why be forced to go back in near identical conditions to get a near identical shot? I think one pic would serve as a suitable primer. I would however resist any more than one pic from a previous year.
There is no leader and there are no firm rules on this project yet, so open for discussion.

I was away to the mainland for a couple of days last week on a workshop , went to some great locations and got some great images for both this project and the Icons one. I shall send them to Charles for posting in the next couple of days.
It's good to get of the Island ocasionally, otherwise you get a little stir crazy!!
