My first LF shots

Post by Mark Pope » Sat Sep 02, 2006 9:10 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Dear all,

I'm new to this LF game, having been the proud owner of a Shen-Hao since May.
I've posted some shots on my website. They can be viewed at http://www.tinyurl.com/lhy0q

Comments welcome.

All the best

It's a shame that you've had no comments at all on what is a very fine portrait indeed. The only minor point is the skin tones on the arms seem a little over-exposed. Perhaps darkening them a tad might improve things. But that's just a nitpick.

Great stuff and a huge amount better than my own first LF attempts!

Mark, I'm having difficulty getting a grip on the composition because I have to scroll to see the bottom of the portrait. I'm on 1024x768, so with the page banner dropping so low, it's not possible to view it in its entirety.

Nice tones and OOF, though. :)

Thanks Jools. The print was a bit of so and so to scan properly. The print is MUCH nicer.

There's a bunch of other stuff there too - just click on the arrows at the bottom of the page. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking.
