PP can work well when everything goes according to plan, it's when it goes wrong that you may run into problems. As Patrick states above they're not regulated by the FSA anymore. I was paid by PP for something I sold on ebay and two months later they told me that the transaction was fraudulent and wanted the full amount back plus about another 5% for an admin fee, I told them where to stick it, as you do. It was impossible to talk to PP as they kept citing that I was in breach of their T&C's etc. Without any warning I started to be harassed by a debt collector and treated like a common criminal. I blocked the debt collectors number and they eventually gave up.

I've now resorted to making most things I sell only available to the UK, and welcome pickup. I've met some nice people, and posting to verified + confirmed addresses makes me feel less twitchy.

In past years i've sent stuff all over the world, and dread to think what might have happened if anything had of gone wrong.

I've also (to our loss) noticed more and more US sellers only shipping to conus, which i'm guessing is for the same reasons.
