Hi Michael, the link you have provided is incomplete, is /isaac/ a folder or the name of an image without the extension ? Either way, I can't find the image on your site.

Hi Chong, I have edited Michael's post, thanks to your pointing to the page, I was able to find the image file for the link.

Michael, my personal comment on this image is that everything seems to be leading the eye out of the left side of the picture and that is fighting the bits of mud(?) in the foreground for attention.

Couple of quick points: as presented the image lacks contrast and, well, 'ooomph' (to use a technical term

). Making a simple 'S' curve adjustment and boosting saturation a little in Photoshop works wonders.

Aside from that, I think pulling the tripod back a few steps (or fitting a wider lens, of course) would have allowed you to include the whole tree. It would have been nice to see the tree's shape set off against the blue sky.

Another approach would be to go for a lower angle and make more of that single leaf floating in the foreground...

Anyway, niggles aside, a fine image!
