processing 5 x 4 in patterson tank

Post by numnutz » Sat Jun 19, 2010 1:25 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi - 5x4 users may be interested in this item on eBay 130401338611 - it is a device to enable processing up to 12 5x4 sheets in a Patterson 3-reel tank.

Hopefully the seller will check for uneven development etc.

The seller claims the item is made to order so the price should be stable eventually.

He has also said he would be willing to try and adapt the design for 10 x 8 film in Jobo tanks for the Atl 1000 and CPP CPE tanks with lifts.

Please note that I have no connection with the seller and offer no recommendations.

Looks like it'll work, I use Jobo 2000 Series tanks and have done since 1976 and they aren't far different. This gets around the tighter diameter of the Paterson tank by loading vertically.

Processing should be even as long as agitation is OK, but I doubt it would work for 10x8 film as it's far more flexible.
