FS Cambo SC Monorail Camera

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

FS Cambo SC Monorail Camera

Post by Rob G » Sun Aug 22, 2010 3:41 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I have for sale a Cambo SC 5 x 4 Monorail Camera complete with Rodenstock 150mm lens in a Copal 0 shutter, spare monorail, compendium lens shade and an Hakuba aluminum fitted case. Everything is in excellent near mint condition. I am asking £250. Due to size and delicate nature of the equipment it would have to be collected from Stourbridge in the West Midlands, or I am prepared to meet up at a halfway point. I will take some photographs of the equipment, if interested please PM me your Email address and I will Email them to you.
Thanks for looking.
Regards,
Rob.

Is Venice half way :D I'll be there in a fortnight 8)

That's a great bargain for someone, the lens alone is worth £150, so the camera is a steal.

Are you still into LF Rob, if so maybe we can meet up next time I'm back in the UK in a couple of months, I'll be 7 miles from Stourbridge.

Ian

Hi Ian.
I think Venice is a bit too far, I hope you enjoy yourself there, you should get some great photographs. I don't seem to be into photography of any kind at present, subsequently my wife is complaining about my darkroom not being used; camera's and other photographic equipment all over the house just gathering dust so I thought I would have a sort out. I know the lens would fetch a good price, the compendium lens shades are really expensive, also the flight cases go for around £80 but I would rather sell the kit in one go and I thought it may give someone an inexpensive entry into large format photography. As for my carrying on with LF photography I am keeping my Graflex Crown Gaphic in the hope I will once again get my enthusiasm back , I will also be keeping some of my medium format equipment. I haven't made my mind up as yet whether to break up my darkroom.
Regards,
Rob.

fwiw, someone should make a move for this kit - a major 'steal' at this price, the Rodenstock is probably worth more, say £200 and after stripping out the compendium lens shade (and they're not cheap), one is probably, no certainly going to have a monorail at 'nil cost' - way to go, as they're fond of saying these days
