WTT/S: Heliopan 105mm Warm Circular Polarizer

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

WTT/S: Heliopan 105mm Warm Circular Polarizer

Post by Bogdan_B » Mon Feb 07, 2011 7:43 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

A bit of a strange one, but I'm looking to trade my Heliopan 105mm Warm Circular Polarizer - Kasemann for a non warming B+W or Heliopan 105mm Kasemann Circular Polariser. My polarizer is in like new condition and comes complete with the original leather pouch. Obviously, looking to exchange for a similar condition filter.

Hi there, could I ask why the change ? I kicked myself when I bought my non warming polariser thinking I should have got one. Is it 81b strength or weaker ?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

I'm sure I'll be kicking myself if I go through with this only because Heliopan(or B+W) no longer produce this filter, therefore almost impossible to buy brand new.
Even though, in my opinion, this is the best polariser I've used with Velvia/Provia, I don't like what it does to the blues on digital.
It's not clearly specified what sort of warming factor it has, but from my experience, an 81B is about right.

Regards,
Bogdan

I've got a singh-ray warming 77mm pol (generally used on my medium format gear), I can confirm a warming polariser really does the trick, these things are great. They almost make provia look good! If I had a spare £2xx quid I'd take yours off you in a flash, sadly I don't. Good luck with the sale.

I managed to drop my Lee polariser(now history) so I'm now looking for a trade.
