Hi all,
I have a couple of Schneider lenses in COPAL NO 0 shutters. Both shutters have a little lever demarked
X W on the side.( could be
M X of course!)
This lever has a function I would presume but I have no idea what.
Any ideas ??

This is the M/X flash sync setting lever. the M is for use with flash bulbs and it allows for a short delay after firing the flash before opening the shutter, this is to ensure the bulb reaches peak brightness. The X setting is for electronic flash.
