Undercliffe Cemetery, by John Fontana.

I have just about completed a portfolio of images taken at this cemetery over the last 2-3 years, to be entered as an APRS attempt later this year. The images have been captured on 5x4 Ebony, 35 mm B&W and infra red film, and also on pinhole as described below.

This image is a possible contender for the final portfolio. It is taken on a Zero Image 5x4 pinhole with zoneplate in situ over the pinhole, on Ilford FP4+, developed in ID11 1:1. The aperture of the pinhole equates to about f200, with exposure for about 1 second. After scanning on an Epson 2450 flatbed, it is 'toned' in Photoshop to give a sepia gold tone effect. It will be printed on Fotospeed Platinum gloss paper using the fotospeed Quill CIS ink system, on an Epson R2400.

The cemetery is gradually being tidied up after many years of neglect, and this image is iconic in the sense of capturing the mood of the place as I feel it, before it becomes too sanitised, each time I go, irrespective of the climatic conditions, and reminding me of the many visits and hours I have spent at this place.
