Dark cloth...
Hi, does anyone know where I could purchase a decent focussing hood for my 5x4? (preferably from a uk seller) I want a hood rather than a cloth as I find a cloth more of a hindrance when the wind is blowing faster than about 1mph.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has one for sale then let me know.

I use the Paramo hood from Light and Land. Expensive but worth every penny.

Hi Matthew,
I recently used a Toyo 45AII...great camera.
I found the combination of the fold out hood and a dark cloth to be brilliant...the hood to get quick composition, etc and then its very quick removal and use of the mentioned paramo to get critical focus.(by far the best dark cloth I have used, and very light to boot)
That said up top of the derby peaks, with very high winds the dark cloth did stay in the bag and I used only the fold out hood.
The speed of operation and removal of the toyo hood was a real bonus so it may be worth trying to find a toyo one as other versions may be tricker to get remove.

Thankyou for your replies. I will investigate the dark cloth mentioned.
Re: Dark cloth...
The BLACKJACKET from quietworks.com is great: light and packable; adapts very well to different cameras (see website for extreme limitations - n/a for your Toyo) and makes focusing easier than with a black sail; if you get hit by a shower you can keep dry while impersonating a Martian by wearing it as a jacket (!).
