Colorneg with B+W
Colorneg with B+W
I've been using colorneg for my colour negs with great success, thought I'd try it with B+W.
I've downloaded and installed the B+W extension but can't find any decent instructions telling me where to start.
The colorneg site has a good description but no step by step http://www.colorneg.com/sw.html?lang=en
Can someone tell me how to use it?
Thanks
Ed

Hi Ed
Might this be what you are looking for? http://www.colorneg.com/warumcolorneg_sw.html?lang=en
The most important thing is to scan your B&W negs as linear scans in RGB then convert to Greyscale then use Colorneg. Once opened in Colorneg you will be presented with just a few sliders (not the vast array when using colour). I just tend to play with the gamma until it's looking somewhere near then finish it off in PS.

In the drop down menu I get all the colour options and then 0-100 options, have I loaded the B+W correctly or do you get all the colour ones showing as well?

Hi Ed
Sorry I missed this post.
I don't think there is a separate B&W bit?... it's just the Colorneg Plug in which defaults to the simpler interface when you load a greyscale image. As I mentioned in my earlier post I am on version 1.02... if you've recently downloaded Colorneg you are probably running version 1.04 which might be different... will download the new version and check it out.
