Amateur Photographer has announced the passing of Geoffrey Crawley after a long illness. For both his chemicals and vast technical knowledge passed on with skill, I'd like to say thanks.

Me too. This post just got me thinking. Where are the Crawleys of today? I dont mean people who hone technique, but those that delve and push things along to the benefit of all. Real inventors. Is the science going digital too?

Re: Geoffrey Crawley, RIP
Sad indeed, I grew up with reading his articles in AP. Unfortunately they threw away the mould when Geoffrey was born and there will be no replacement.
