
This shot is part of the same batch of negs that Helen has just posted. We saw this vegetable in the shop and thought it would make an interesting subject. I placed the broccoli in a bowl on the kitchen worktop, illuminated only by the light under the wall cupboard. After much bending of the camera, I placed the hinge point about 8ft directly above the subject, with the plane of focus descending vertically, in the hope of getting all of the head of the broccoli in the wedge of focus. Well, I didn't quite manage it, but I still think the result is acceptable
