scanner profiles

I am after profiling my scanner, I recall someone posting here that they were planning to provide profiling but can't for the life of me find the post, are you still out there?
I plan to get a IT8 target as soon as poss but I have been tied up for a while and have not got round to doing it, anyone here doing remote profiles?

I have been looking at Digital Light and Colour, as it is in the States I am expecting that it would be several weeks to arrive.
The software etc over here seems prohibitively expensive, I am teetering on the edge of going back to wet prints as the Digital workflow is a chore to me, so I am not keen to spend hundreds of pounds to go this route.

What do folks here have in the way of suggestions?

Gari, there has already been a discussion or two on profiling.

The DL&C software is not something I have seen before but, if it does the job for that price, then it could be worth investigating. You can get the scanner targets direct from Wolf Faust and only really need the correct one for each film type you anticipate profiling.

I would also advise you to get your monitor profiled, and in that regard, you might consider the Monaco EZColor package with the Optix sensor for monitors.

To fill the hole in your recollection, it is I who am planning on starting a little profiling business. I already have all the best tools and software and I'm already making them for myself and a few others, I just haven't gotten around to sorting out a website and all the other stuff yet, I have a few other things on the burner, like being made redundant etc.

I don't want to advertise on here, I think it might be inappropriate. I'm here as a member because I enjoy LF, not to tout for business
