Delays in PM's

Just a query for the moderator.

When I PM a member, the PM sits in my Outbox for quite some time. Does it sit there until it is viewed by the recipient and is then transferred to my Sent Box?

That's standard phpBB behaviour - take a quick peek at the manual here for a full explanation.
