Lee Filter Holder Issue

Post by Chris Jameson » Wed Nov 12, 2008 9:02 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I had my filter holder dismantled at the weekend to add the 105mm polariser ring, but found that I was unable to get it back together properly.
Adding the polariser ring meant using the longer screws, but I found that once the nose of the screw reached approximately the mid point of the brass threads in the holder they stopped dead.
I've tried blowing them through, applying wax to the screws to help lubricate them, none of which helped.
I've temporarily got around the problem by using the shorter screws, but they're only 2 - 3mm into the threads, so not too much of a hold.

Has anyone else come across this problem before?
If so, what's the solution.

Thanks,

Chris.

I suggest you ring Robert White for advice. You may need to replace defective screws.
