Mounting a Polyester filter

Post by Joanna Carter » Tue Apr 21, 2009 8:30 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I have just acquired some 100mm polyester filters and some Lee mounts for them. Anyone know how to put these together?

I bought mine ready assembled at no extra cost. If the holders are the same as the Cokin polyester holders I used to use then you carefully insert the polyester sheet between two of the black plastic mounts and snap the black plastic surround shut. I suspect however that Lee have made things more difficult?

Mutter, mutter... yes, I spoke to someone there and they have confirmed my worst fears: you have to trim the filter to fit between the locating pins and then glue the mount together
