Anybody interested in ordering Astia?

Post by timparkin » Thu Apr 23, 2009 1:09 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi,

I want to get an order placed for some astia quickload and was wondering if anybody was interested in a group order?

It works out about $420 for 5 boxes from B+H US so I'm not sure what duty is payable on this. I think the import is 6.5% and 15% vat so .. $514 which is approx £360 or £72 per box.. To make things safer I would say it was £75 per box and then refund any savings on that..

Anybody interested?

Tim

Badger Graphic are selling Astia QL for $66.95 per box, which is slightly cheaper than B&H. That works out at $334.75 for 5 boxes. The duty is 6.5%, therefore, at current rate of $1.46/£1, that means, assuming $40 carriage, a landed cost of £320.32 including the £8 Parcel Force levy for collecting the duty. Or £64.06 per box.

If you can get a case of 20 boxes, the shiupping is around $118, so this helps spread the carriage costs and the guy at BAdger also said he would possibly give a better price for a whole case.

I would be interested in a couple of boxes of the Astia QL after all I learned about it off Joanna last weekend. :P I have just been looking at the Badger Graphic site with a view to placing an order.... so if you are placing one are you taking orders (payment in advance of course)?

Hi,

I bought 3 boxes from badger at a cost of about £80 per box.. not cheap but it should be interesting. I will be doing some comparisons between provia/astia/velvia to and will publish when I get stuff back.

Oh - and when I reorder (if and when) I will come back to the forum to get peoples interest first...

Anyone for QL Velvia?

Post by Peter B » Thu Apr 30, 2009 11:11 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Don't mean to highjack this thread, but there is someone selling 5 boxes of QL Velvia on eBay, some in date and some out.
