Dear All,
I am looking for a hot shoe - the curled, C-shaped bit of metal that holds a flash-gun in place. I am looking to screw it in place and only need the metal part, the clip: I don't need any cables, or flash-gun connectors/ electrodes, or anything fancy.
Anybody have any ideas where I can find spares?
I know I can buy a flash connector on Ebay for a tenner, which I could take apart, but was looking for less faff and cheaper.
Best regards,
Charles

Sounds like you're after a coldshoe rather than a hotshoe. Unfortunately I've never managed to find an cheap source that isn't the type of thing you've already mentioned. Other option is buy an old sub-£10 junk camera off ebay and salvage the flash shoe. I've got an old knackered olympus trip, that type of thing.
