WTB: Jobo 2509n 4x5" reel

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

WTB: Jobo 2509n 4x5" reel

Post by dave_whatever » Fri Jan 22, 2010 2:12 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

OK so I've got a processor in the pipeline, and assuming it works OK I'll be needing a Jobo 2509n reel. No immediate rush, but anyone has got one of these burning a hole in your pocket then give me a shout. Thanks.

I've been in much the same situation on the lookout for a reel, but nothing has come up for a few weeks. If you are not in a hurry, Ag photographic are likely to be getting Jobo products in the coming weeks, and their prices are generally pretty good. I'm hoping to do my first processing next week....

Cheers for that heads-up, I'll keep an eye on their site. :)

My other fallback option is dropping 35 notes on a new reel from firstcall.

Yeah I'll probably end up ordering something else (chems?) to justify the postage.

I love how a 4x5 reel weighing probably 300g costs the same to post as a 5ltr Fujihunt kit weighing several kgs

I've been watching the auction site for the last few months for one of these reels and they seem to go for more than the new price - the last one I was watching went for around £65.00 - and that was the older difficult to load version.

I suggest buying a new one, cheaper in the long run (apart from the postage)

Christ, that's got to be one of the classic ebay paradoxes, i.e. People paying way more for unwarranteed untested unseen goods than they cost new. Bizarre.
