Best source of cheap sheet film

I have been trying to avoid importing some boxes of 50 sheets from the US but cost of sheet film - esp Kodak looks extortionate in the UK. I have plenty of velvia 50. I am going google blind.....

Films I had in mind were Portra 160NC (as an alternative to 160S) and 100G (as an alternative to Astia/Provia). Anyone have any pointers to a good value supplier in UK (or europe) ?

I wish I had-
but it's just so much cheaper in the US.
It must be down to volume discounts, and the fact that US prices are net,
and local prices include VAT.

Even if you get hit for VAT on import, there's still a huge difference in prices for colour film, especially 8x10...

I'm buying from Ag (portra VC) as they are a tiny bit less than elsewhere, and with cheaper postage, but yes if buying a lot...the US is the way to go.

Had been watching this one but the date really put me off for colour film. For £20 I might have risked it.....

The problem there is that you never really know when its someone else.
I've just worked out the US price and 50 sheets will cost you £108 plus import duties that will be around £25 so about £135 in total.

Whilst that is certainly more it's good to know.
